At Mama Pizza, we have made a decision that is important to us: we no longer serve Coca-Cola, Fanta Orange or Fanta Lemon. Instead, we now exclusively offer soft drinks from Refrescos Puig.

This decision was not purely economic. As a restaurant, we want to take responsibility and not only talk about sustainability, local products and environmental protection, but also act accordingly.

Refrescos Puig is a Mallorcan company founded in Llucmajor in 1927. Today, its drinks are produced and bottled in Palma. This means that production, jobs and a large part of the added value remain

here on Mallorca.

​

For us, sustainability also means avoiding unnecessarily long transport routes. Instead of having drinks transported to Mallorca from distant production and distribution centres across national borders, we have consciously chosen a product made directly on our island.

At the same time, we want to become less dependent on large international corporations whose economic and political direction we cannot always support. We believe that every business should be free to decide which products and values it wishes to represent.

With this decision, we want to show that regional alternatives are not only possible, but can also impress in terms of taste and quality. Anyone who wants to protect Mallorca and support the local economy can start right at their own table.
